Punch cigar
Punch cigar is produced by General Cigar. Any cigar connoisseur will tell you that the secret to a good tasting cigar is in the blend. This is a true art form, and the careful choosing of the tobacco leaf, quantity and quality will give the cigar its taste. The ability to balance strength with all the variations consistently makes the Punch cigar a real delicacy. If rain is excessive one year or sun too strong, this will affect the taste of any cigar. From the inventors of the Connecticut shade wrapper the Punch cigar was born. It has been one of the best cigars since 1969, recommended to anyone that wants to know what a good cigar tastes like. Be careful though, and let it rest in a humidor for a few months before you smoke it as some people are complaining about the taste that may only be because the different kinds of tobacco leaves (the blend) were not rested properly, therefore producing an uneven taste, easily fixed by letting your Punch cigar age a little.
It's produced in Honduras but has gathered some of the best tobacco plants in the world. It uses Honduran, Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos. From Honduras the Connecticut seed for wrappers, medium brown wrappers, dark brown wrappers and spicy medium to full bodied binders and fillers. These plants are grown in the Rancho Jamastran, located in the fertile valley of Jamastran.
From Nicaragua the Connecticut seed wrappers, dark brown wrappers, full-bodied fillers and binders. They also use the same seeds used in Cuba, imported since 1957.
It has many presentations for the brand, Punch, Punch Doble Maduro (very dark brown in color, most Cuban cigars have this appearance), also Punch Grand Cru Natural, Punch Cafe Royale, Punch presidente and Punch rare corojo among others.
Punch cigar is an even burning cigar, will give out a spicy flavor and has great bouquet, has a good quality-price ratio.
The Punch cigar called Doble Maduro is spicy and smooth. Obviously, the wrapper is in the dark Cuban style.
The Punch cigar rare Corojo is produced with plants that were grown under a gauze sunscreen for a superb product, grown in the mountains of Ecuador. They are hard to find and have a medium strength smoke, if you find these take 'em!
The experience of smoking a punch cigar is really great. Take the time to enjoy it and truly appreciate the spicy taste. It's one of the finest and you don't have to pay the $40 a piece the Cohiba is in the black market.
