Cigar afficianado

The cigar afficianado has an exiting hobby that can become an obsession! The time and money dedicated to it will surprise outsiders, that is why cigar smokers become members of the same pack. They not only understand each other and share the same liking, they can talk about it! Cigar conversation for the cigar afficianado is an exiting subject. Outsiders will oddly look at two grown human beings quarreling passionately about which smoke is better, a Montercisto or a Thompson. Why is it that a trivial activity can cause such commotion? For some, a smoke is not just a smoke, it's a whole experience that involves mind and senses in a discovery.

A cigar afficianado has a fellowship with people alike, and end up gathering together to share smoking experiences and smokes.

The choosing of a cigar is just the beginning. Will it be a premium or seconds? Cuban or Dominican? Coronas or Lonsdales? There are so many choices, forms, stiles, tastes and sizes that it could be simply overwhelming. Look for good quality cigars that have a consistent flavor. Something not too strong to allow your palate to slowly grow to appreciate and understand the flavor of a cigar. Don't pick something too fancy the fist few times, you won't know the difference between a good and a bad smoke and won't truly appreciate a fine cigar just yet.

After the proper cigar is picked, smoke slowly. A true cigar afficianado takes his time between puffs, as he uses this moments to feel the tingle and evaluate the taste, meanwhile, the cigar is slowly cooling down. If you puff too much you will saturate your taste buds and the cigar will start to heat up becoming bitter. To help the cigar cool down leave the ash on the cigar until it falls naturally. This will avoid unnecessary heating and will allow you a minute or so to relax and enjoy. The smoking experiences is one of the most pleasurable moments one can have for himself. The time it takes for an average cigar to consume is about an hour, so make sure this time is reserved for this activity and avoid unnecessary interruptions that will break your concentration and miss out on the flavor and experience. Don't let your cigar run out though, most cigars won't taste as good the second time lit than the first.

As a cigar afficianado you will suffer discrimination, alienation, be criticized and misunderstood, be patient. Defend your rights as much as the others defend theirs, cigar smokers are fed up of being kicked around and treated like second class citizens. This is an experience that can only be appreciated by others like you, that share this natural curiosity and enjoy the adventure of cigar smoking.
